Let It Snow

As I woke up today to a beautiful bright, sunny & cold day, to frosty and icy conditions I started thinking about Snow. We don’t get enough snow in Ireland but its the perfect blanket for landscape photography. Maybe this weekend the weather gods will be good to us.

I have been very lucky throughout my photographic career to witness some extreme winter conditions. I have visited various locations around the world and managed to take interesting images of many winter wonderlands.

At times it was tour de force. At times it was freezing cold. Mostly it was a thrilling experience.

From technical standpoint it can sometimes be challenging. Freezing conditions and tricky exposures. But its always worthwhile.

Here is a selection of my favourite Winter / Snow images from around the world.
