The Final Frontier – Peter Gordon

Photograph Location: Ballintoy Harbour, Antrim, Ireland
Image Edition: Limited Edition Print (50)
Art Medium: Digital Photography – Nikon d3x

This photograph was made at night in Ballintoy Harbour. The moonlight was enough to light the foreground and the stars in the sky did the rest. Amazing what light can be recorded by modern digital cameras.

Long side print sizes will be exact though short side will vary lightly depending on image dimensions. All images will be printed with an additional one inch border.

Limited Edition Irish Art
The photograph you have selected is part of our limited edition Irish print series. This means that we restrict the numbers of prints available of this image. We don’t, as many others do, edition images on the basis of size. So for example, if the image is part of an edition of 27 then this means that there will only be 27 prints in total of this image made irrespective of print size. This guarantee's our buyers a truly original limited edition piece of Irish art. As editions run out we do retain the right to make large prints available only.

About Our Printing
Each print is a unique piece of Irish art individually created and crafted under Peter and Ed’s supervision in Ireland. All imagery is printed on Baryta papers with museum quality archival permanence meaning no fading or degradation over time. Digital pigment prints are now recognised world wide for their superiority over other print technologies in terms of their wide colour gamut and their longevity. Today, most digital pigment prints are colour-stable for between 100 and 300 years, and print resolution is greater than can be resolved by the human eye. The result is perfectly smooth transitions in tones, in shadows, and in other hard-to-reproduce transitions. On coated papers, and using 16-bit files, the results are outstanding in colour.
