Glendalough – Transformed ..

Its not every day you see somewhere you know intimately transformed by amazing weather conditions.  Frost had been building day after day in Glendalough with a thaw only beginning today. I'm working on a nighttime project in the area (In a Different Light) at the moment but managed to squeeze in a brief sunset shoot and an amazing sunrise yesterday morning. Just exhilarating being there amongst all that frost, mist and light. So unusual for everything to combine in such perfect unison. Hope you enjoy..Peter Drop us a line if you are interested in fine art prints of any of the below:) Wicklow Beginners Course Here. West of Ireland seascapes

It's summer, so let’s visit some of our favourite beaches and seascapes in the west of Ireland - places perfect for landscape photographers. Rugged coastline, many islands, cliffs, bays, harbours & amazing beaches. Thanks to the power of Atlantic there is plenty to chose from and photograph. And for the brave ones there is also swimming. 3 DSC4879 _PEG2074 It felt like there was a huge storm rising out of the blaskets on the Dingle peninsula. Some of the most unique light I have ever seen.. _EDW0225-2

Dublin Salt Continues ….

I have been busy exploring Dublin Bay & working on my current project Dublin Salt. Those Poolbeg Towers just keep on calling. They really anchor the urban landscape of the city. Hope you enjoy viewing some new additions to Dublin Salt portfolio. _DSC3599 _DSC6821

Favourite Wicklow images

Many years ago I fell in love with the landscape of Wicklow, the garden of Ireland, its bogs and forests, lakes and rolling mountains. Wicklow is where I always come back to. It started with the ‘Wild Garden’ project and continues today with ‘In a Different Light’ project. Here are few of my favourite Wicklow images throughout the years. It was a tough decision, but I hope you like them. It is also subject to constant change of my style ..... _KBP0056-Edit _DSC0185 _DSC1961s Dead Calm - Glendalough Upper Lake Gentle Sleep - Glendalough National Park I love shooting tree's in winter. you can see the full shape and design. Captured in the Wicklow mountains..

Many Faces

As a landscape photographer I mainly focus on dazzling colours of sunrises and sunsets, beautiful seascapes, mist and reflections, forests and mountains, dramatic cliffs and patterns, but sometimes faces win my attention.

Here is a selection of some of my favourite shots over the years by Ed Gordon.

Ice Caves

Sometimes they call them crystal caves, sometimes ice caves. Once inside them they are just absolutely breathtaking. They are the amazing wonders of nature, hiding under the glaciers. So may patterns ... patterns patterns. You have to go and see the ice in Iceland. They still amaze me with their ever-changing shapes and patterns.

For adventurers and only with guidance !!!

It's litterally a huge cavern of insanely beautiful patterns..make sure to get yourself down to a cave in Iceland asap.. So may patterns ... patterns patterns.. You have to go and see the ice in Iceland.. Dan and Ann at work in the icecave.. Iceland's famous ice beach is full of little jewels like this ice. Unfortunately they melt if you try and bring them home so best to just make some intersting pictures.. See you in Iceland

Connemara Favourites

Connemara is still one of my favourite places in Ireland to photograph & if the conditions are good, the light is changeable you might be in for a real photographers treat. Connemara is a savage beauty', as Oscar Wilde put it ... Here is a selection of some of my favourite Connemara shots over the last few years. It was a difficult task to choose the best. _DSC3858 copyDSC3702-Edit-copycr_EDW3261-Edit_EDW3545a

Poolbeg Chimneys

Peter is currently working on Dublin Salt, a collection of work based around the Dublin seascape. Poolbeg can be seen from so many vantage points along the Dublin coast it really has become a Dublin icon. Here is a selection of my Poolbeg favourites so far ... Fingers crossed for the chimneys to continue to be a part of Dublin Bay scenery. booterstown_3edi

Winter in Scotland

Sometimes it snows in April ... Winter in Scotland is always a real visual feast. From snowcapped mountains to frozen lakes, crisp mornings to starry nights, winter is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Scotland. The Scottish landscape is stunning every season, but there’s something about winter that adds an extra touch of magic … Here are few of my Scottish Winter Wonderland favourites ... _DSC9547-2 (1)
