Our six week Digital Landscape Photography Night Courses are designed to provide participants with concrete and practical advice which can be used while out making images in beautiful surroundings. With small class sizes of just twelve it’s a great opportunity to learn in an interactive environment. At the end of your six week course you will have learned a range of new skills which will greatly improve your landscape photography. We also provide detailed notes on every class so you always have something tangible to refer back to.

All night courses are classroom taught and theory based but we also incorporate on week 4 a sunset shoot in Dublin bay to bring all we have learned into practical focus and hopefully make some beautiful images.

You will also be taught the 'ExploreLight Landscape Action' which has been developed to pass onto workshop participants a simple but extremely effective way to process images. Actions are a function of Photoshop which allow you to record a series of adjustments. Once this series of adjustments have been recorded they can then be carried out with ease on any image you open. The beauty of the action is that it allows you change the severity of each adjustment on an image by image basis. No two shots are the same so varying degrees of change are required depending on the shots your working on. The adjustments within the action target contrast, saturation and glow, shadow detail and highlight detail all with one click of a button. Each facet can then by individually tweaked after the action has been run.

General Course Outline and Location

The course takes place in the Stillorgan Park Hotel (located on the N11 and easily accessible form the M50) in privately rented conference facilities. Our first four classes are classroom based and focus on using your camera, filters, lighting and composition. The class runs on a Monday ( see dates listed above ) from 730pm – 9.30pm with a fifteen minute break. Our fourth class will be a sunset shoot in Dublin Bay.  Week five and six will be devoted to processing images in Photoshop from our shoot the previous week. Please see below for specific course outlines.

Costs and Whats Included
