Dazzling reds, brilliant orange, gold and greens dancing before you in the trees or reflected in mountain streams or just lying on the ground waiting for the seeing eye to record that beauty. Vermont in the Autumn, or as the Americans call it “The Fall” is a magical place for the photographer. The Green Mountains of Eastern Vermont turn all the colours of the rainbow during the first part of October. We will explore some of the most beautiful areas of the Green Mountain State in search of peak autumn colour, reflections, frost covered leaves, waterfalls and covered bridges. Some of the hot spots on our photo itinerary include, Moss Glen Falls, Jenne Farm, Sleepy Hollow Farm, Lefferts Pond, the Mad River, Chittedendon Creek, historic Woodstock, covered bridges, rolling farm lands and the mountains of the Green Mountain National Forest, Buttermilk Falls and much, much more. Photography for the unknowing explorer can be hit and miss. It’s a bit like buying a house. You have heard the adage “Location Location Location”. Our trip is planned to coincide with peak autumn colour in Vermont allowing us to photograph some of the most spectacular colour in the world. Our photography tour to Vermont in the USA is an opportunity to shoot amazing locations and get expert photography advice. Ed and Peter have taken countless photographic trips to the USA photographing an incredible variety of landscapes. The locations we will visit we have researched thoroughly and will provide for the best colour and best light, mother nature permitting. Our US workshop differs from our Irish based classes, as teaching will not be as intense. Our goal is to bring you to amazing locations to make great images and provide assistance as needed. Despite the more relaxed nature of this tour we expect participants to still come away with a vast array of new skills. We will be spending just over a full week together so there is lots of time to learn and take advantage of your beautiful surroundings. Costs and what’s Included - €2500 Our American photography tour is an all-inclusive package for 8 nights. Included in the cost are accommodation, car rental and fuel and food. This means your only other additional cost on the trip would be your flight. Accommodation will be in hotels and transportation in an SUV. Costs quoted are for single occupancy so everyone gets their own room. You can fly directly from Dublin to Boston with Aer Lingus and flights are reasonably priced in October. A 40% deposit is required to secure your place and the balance is due no later than 60 days before departure.
